seasons: wet or dry. However, South Vietnam including Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta enjoy sunshine and warm weather all year round with a rainy or showery season lasting from May to November and a dry season from December to April.

Tet Holiday or Vietnamese New Year falls between late January and February and is the most important holiday of the year for Vietnamese people who take time off to spend time with their families. So hotels, trains and flights will probably be full and many amenities will be closed or understaffed a week before and a week after the Tet holiday.
