Galveston Island is a short drive and a ferry ride away and offers every kind of entertainment imaginable: shopping on the Strand, amusement and water parks, museums, fine or casual dining, antique shops, golfing, biking and water sports to mention a few. Take a boat or segway (those really cool personal transportation devices) tour of the historical district or visit the auarium pyramid, rain forest pyramid and the I-Max theater at Moody Gardens.
