This four bedroom home, with its nine foot ceilings, has the bedrooms and full bath (with washer-dryer) located on the first floor. Upstairs in an expansive main room, with its ten foot ceilings, lie the kitchen, living room, and dining area.
Immediately struck with the complete west facing wall of ornately trimmed windows that look out upon the Pacific Ocean, with the Agate Beach Lighthouse in the distance, and the bustling community of Nye Beach, the visitor will realize the care and creativity this husband-wife team has put into every aspect of this home.
From the period authentic built-up moldings to the tastefully accented furnishings, Wakefield House will make an excellent jumping off spot for your next vacation or family gathering.
Upstairs, as well, is an east facing bedroom with a full size bed that can serve as a fourth bedroom. A modern kitchen with Jenn-Aire range, dishwasher, and refrigerator, as well as ample cabinet area, will make cooking or entertaining simple and convenient. A second full bathroom is located upstairs.
Downstairs, the visitor will find the master bedroom with its queen sized bed and ornately trimmed bay window which allows a peek at the ocean. A second bedroom containing a bunk bed, with full sized bed below and twin sized bed above, can either serve to house the children or separate the adults. The third bedroom with east and south facing windows looks out upon the deck and Jacuzzi area and also features a queen sized bed.
Wakefield House is located directly across the street from Newport's Performing Arts Center and one block from the Don Davis Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park, which has quickly become the most comfortable beach entry in the Nye Beach area, affording the visitor access to more than five miles of sandy beaches.
