DESCRIPTION
|
Riverside Villa rental near beaches, shops, restaurants and golf courses, situated by Long Meadow Creek.
Three bedroomed air conditioned south facing villa on a double plot mostly set to grass and flowering shrubs, with river to rear. Landscaped gardens with trees either side so you are not overlooked.
Heated swimming pool and spa tub (heated from our roof based solar heat exchanger facility).
The villa is well furnished with wooden floors in main areas, carpet in the bedrooms and ceramic in the bathrooms. The 3 bedrooms are set as king, double and one with 2 single beds and linen/towels are provided. All we ask is that you bring your own beach towels.
All bedrooms have generous size cupboards (closets) and the main bedroom has an en suite bathroom with walk-in shower and jacuzzi bath. The 2nd bathroom serves both the 2nd & 3rd bedrooms, and there is a separate poolside toilet.
As you enter this home you come into a large great room or lounge, to one side of which is a dining area. The kitchen is light and airey, fully fitted down to teapot and egg cups, electric or on stove kettles, electric coffee maker or cafetaire, range cooker with microwave above, fridge freezer with ice maker, toaster, juicer, and even a grapefruit knife. Cutlery (flatware), dishes, utensils/pots/pans, glasses and wine glasses are all provided.
A breakfasting nook is situated just off the kitchen, so you can eat here or outside around a large oval table which has 6 cushioned chairs.
All rooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans. The covered part of the lanai just in front of the heated (solar power) pool has its own fan and lights so you can sit out and relax. There a 4 cushioned sun loungers to help you soak up the Florida sunshine.
We have two TVs on cable with around 70 channels, a DVD player and a CD/radio.
Double garage with wireless remote electric up & over door.
Please note that our lawns, shrubs and flowers are irrigated weekly automatically from a sprinkler system with water taken from the river - this is the most environmentally friendly way to do this here.

SPECIAL ITEMS & AMENITIES
|
Beach chairs and two beach sun umbrellas are stored in the garage for guest use, likewise two fishing rods and a keepnet. Some games and some toddler toys are also provided including Monopoly.
Outside you have a beautiful river outlook, birds visit fequently and the area is very green. Opposite to the front of the villa is the nearest golf course.
Two bikes are available for guest use and the area is flat so bikers, walkers and joggers can exercise easily.
Environment - Three Nature trails are on Rotonda, and Two environmental centres are located in Englewood. The library at Tingali Centre off McCall Road has loads of information on sustainability and environmental issues that are being tackled in this part of Florida - to keep it green and healthy for everyone.

Englewood beach, Stumps Pass beach, Venice beach and Bocca Grande beach can be recommended for their soft sand and swimming.
Most beaches have a pavillion where there are toilets and space to change so you can go shopping and the beach whilst keeping nice clothes clean.
Boating including jet ski hire, fishing and captained fishing trips, tennis, horse riding and over 15 golf courses are all available in this area. In Port Charlotte there is a Scuba diving centre.
Very good local supermarkets and a farmers market fruit & veg stall can be found off McCall Road. Fresh caught fish can be found by the Fisheries Restaurant in Placida and in the white clapper board bait shop by Mannesota key bridge.
A list of guest selected restaurants is in the villa and we particularly like the Olive Garden and the Red Chillies restaurants in Port Charlotte's Murdock Circle plaza.
Old Englewood around Dearborne Street has some quaint shops, galleries and cafes.
The Myakka State Park, Sarasota's Marine Centre & Ringling Museum are well worth visiting, Henry Ford & Eddison summer houses in Fort Myers show how the well off used to live.
Locallay at Bocca Grand on Gaspirilla Island you should lunch at the Loose Caboose restuarant and follow this by a trip to the lighthouse which has a pictures and exhibits record of the early development and first settlers to this area - really worth seeing.
Shopping - the shopping Mall in Port Charlotte and the 2 this side of Venice are excellent. For great end of range designer label items from clothes to shoes to watches, you can have a great time at the Prime Outlets complex in Ellenton only an hours drive away. This outlets is good for baby clothes and presents too!
Rodeo - inland at Arcadia you might find a rodeo event!
Theme Park - try Busch Gardens near Tampa.
