In winter Sunrise Ski area is nearby for snowboarding, downhill and cross-country skiing; numerous snowmobiling trails. Ice fishing at many lakes. The cabin is located on 40 acres of private property with easy access off Highway 180 just 2.5 miles south of Alpine, Arizona and 4 miles to the New Mexico border. We keep the road plowed in the winter. Guaranteed one of the, if not the nicest rentals in the area with all the amenities of home. Owners are in residence on property. Welcome Gift!
Sleeps 6-7, has a bedroom w/Queen and loft w/2 Queens. Spacious full sized bath. Satellite TV, VCR, Stereo w/CD and telephone. Comfortable dining and living room - tastefully decorated. Fully equipped kitchen w/full sized refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, range/oven, washer & dryer, BBQ. Pellet stove - providing warmth and ambiance. Deck with patio furniture - providing awesome views of Escadilla mountain and Luna Lake. Resident wildlife (elk, racoons, squirrels, birds) etc. Horses can be boarded for $7-$10 per day.
Close to Alpine (2.5 miles) - Alpine Country Club (public golf course) with bar and restaurant. Bear Wallow Cafe - great eats all the time. Cafe Beate (German cuisine) Paddy Creek (fine dining) the restaurant at Tal WiWi Lodge - good for dinner. Numerous fishing waters - local shopping (market and gifts) miles and miles of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. One hour from Sunrise ski area - downhill, cross country, snowboarding. Snowmobile trails. Ice fishing - near-by Hannigans Meadow. Fishing instruction and pole rental available.
