Originally maintained primarily as a family beach home this deluxe villa is now available for guests to enjoy a truly unique Jamaican home. While the home has been refurbished, it still retains the character and feel of the original decor. Built on two levels, the villa is traditionally styled with Old World decor and a relaxed flair as well as lovely and colorful fabrics. The interiors feature a mixture of warm, gleaming polished hardwood floors as well as cool tile, rich Oriental carpets, carved four-poster beds, lots of original Jamaican artwork and object's d'art lovingly collected by the owner over the years. The furnishings are traditional in style and extremely comfortable and 'homey' feeling. Indeed, while Villa Lido is a deluxe home it is an extremely warm and comfortable villa that enables guests to feel completely at home-as if it were their very own home. The main level features the living room with two large double doors that open onto a furnished and covered verandah overlooking the pool and 200 feet of white sand beach. A separate formal dining room opens onto an outdoor dining terrace, also, with views out to the sea. Three of the bedrooms (two large twin bedrooms and the children's room) are located on this ground level as well. Please note that the fifth bedroom is suitable only as a children's room. It is outfitted with bunk beds, trundle beds, a computer, Nintendo and lots of games. Upstairs on the second level are two very private bedrooms opening onto a tiled, furnished and covered balcony. All of the bedrooms have air-conditioning and en-suite baths, Satellite TV and radio. The expansive grounds offer a very private four acres of exceptional tropical plantings complete with coconut groves, fruit trees, brilliant flowers and other tropical plantings. Outside, there is a large swimming pool with comfortable furniture and a walkway that leads to the large white sandy beach. For added enjoyment, the villa boasts a well-maintained hard surface tennis court. Notable at this villa is the exceptional staff-some members have been in residence over twenty years. Villa Lido is truly one of the most exceptional villas on Jamaica and provides guests with a very special villa experience.
