This property looks out across the Purangi Reserve to the Purangi River just before it flows out into Cooks Beach. The walk to the beach (across the Reserve and the road leading to the boat ramps) is 1-½ minutes. A compact two storied home with upper and lower deck areas, on a large private section with established plantings and plenty of off-street parking.

Features Description

This holiday home features three bedrooms, one and a half baths, stereo with double cassette player, CD/DVD player and a 21” TV, an oven/stove, wood stove, small microwave, fridge/freezer and a washing machine. The double garage houses the water pump and a second fridge/ freezer. Outside furniture including table and 8 chairs, and 2 old but comfortable armchairs will be either left inside the living room or in the garage for putting out. Also available is a hooded gas BBQ and an outside shower. There is a good supply of dry firewood and old newspaper for use in the wood stove, stored in the garage.

Surrounding Description

The long and lovely sandy beach which caught Captain Cook’s eye and now carries his name, is today a modern beach resort and shopping center. The beach is safe for swimming and the adjacent Purangi estuary has sheltered water with an excellent trailer boat launching area. Lonely Bay (walk down from the Shakespeare Cliff Reserve) is a highlight of the area.
