DESCRIPTION
|
The property is made up of small islands that are surrounded by lakes and connected by bridges. The lakes connect to the Espiritu Santos River, which starts at the base of the rain forest and ends at the most eastern point of the property into the ocean. This is a favorite hangout for manatees, sand dollars, and leatherback turtles. A boat house sits on the biggest lake on the property, were sailboats, kayaks, paddle boards, and bikes are available to enjoy. The lake at the boat house is very calm, it's great for beginners and kids, and it's big enough for the more advanced. Surrounding the property are nature paths that are great for jogging, bike riding, and bird and iguana watching. Many unusual birds have flocked to Bahia from the rain forest. The property is also part of the Audubon Society. Many efforts were taken while constructing Bahia Beach Resort to assure an Eco Friendly property. During construction, trees that had to be removed were then planted in a different location and tagged. An on-site nursery is used to store plants and trees temporarily until they are re-located.Also available close by are Coco Beach Golf Club, home to the Puerto Rico PGA tournament, and great surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, and sailing. This Villa at Bahia Beach Resort is a great place for couples looking for a romantic getaway and for families who love to enjoy the outdoors.
