DESCRIPTION
|
La Selva Mariposa the jungle butterfly, is an intimate B&B situated on 2 1/2 acres surrounded by illuminated paths that invite you to discover the wonders of nature. The four suites, highlighted by Mayan-style waterfalls cascading into cenote-style pools will lull you to sleep at night. Each room was constructed using luscious hardwood beams and furnished with custom-built furniture. The suites are tastefully decorated with treasures and textiles from Mexico and Guatemala. Three of the suites have open-air showers with a view of the stars and heavens above. All suites have air conditioning and overhead fans, a coffee bar, mini-refrigerators, comfortable king OR queen mattresses, separate reading lights, shower products, and an assortment of travel books. Indulge yourself in one of our spa treatments performed in our spa with its gently flowing waterfall that meanders into a reflecting stream and finally into the Chichen Itza fountain and pond. Each morning your hosts will prepare a different hardy breakfast entree accompanied by fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt and plenty of coffee/tea and juice. The rooms rent for $125 and $225 a night for two persons, except at Christmas.
We are within 15-minutes from the charming pueblo of Tulum with over 100 restaurants and shops. The gleaming waters of the Caribbean are only a two miles beyond. Within one hour or less you can explore Mayan ruins, cenotes, the colonial city of Valladolid, butterfly gardens and spider monkey sanctuary.
