DESCRIPTION
Baan Talay is a luxurious beach house set in beautiful tropical gardens. It faces a secluded white-sandy beach on the picturesque south eastern coast of the unspoilt island of Koh Samui, Thailand.

You enter through carved antique doors into an exotic walled garden, crossing over a large pond bountiful with Koi carp and surrounded by a profusion of plants and flowers. The water is fed from an old waterfall set in the background, where there is a shady sala for those quiet times to reflect on the peace and tranquility of your surroundings.

From the first moment you step into Baan Talay you are in no doubt you are living in Thailand. The house features traditional Ayutthaya architecture, with distinctive Thai-style roof. It is carefully designed to blend traditional, elegant and tropical design with comfortable and functional contemporary style living.

The villa is spacious, bright and airy, with high, wood-panelled vaulted ceilings, polished teakwood floors and large glass picture windows that make the most of extensive views over the Gulf of Siam. Traditional antiques and Thai furniture merge effortlessly with the convenience of modern technology

LUXURY BEACH SIDE LIVING
Baan Talay has a large living area, combining a lounge, gourmet kitchen and traditional formal dining area, an ideal place for the family to get together. All the liking accommodation is on one side of the villa, leaving unspoilt access and views of its beachside frontage.

Once outside, you find yourself in one of the most breathtaking beachfront locations on the island of Samui. From the spacious decking under the large overhanging roof, there is a large freeform swimming pool surrounded by natural granite rocks adjacent to a large sundeck with loungers and umbrellas. There is also a large secluded Jacuzzi set among more rocks, as well as an outside bucket shower to freshen up after a day in the hot tropical sunshine. Next to the sundeck is the outdoor eating area, where you can sit and enjoy food from the BBQ and cool drinks from the bar.

The white sandy beach stretches out in front of the villa, with magnificent views to the north and south of Samui. The large stretches of sand are ideal for families and therfe are small small pools where it is safe for children to play. Being away from the busy Samui tourist areas, the beach is always quiet with at the most a handful of tourists and a few fishermen. During the winter months the beach with its shallow sandy lagoon forms an inviting location for kite boarding.

ACCOMMODATION
Master bedroom: A beautiful king-size bed with natural furnishings overlooking the gardens and beach. There is also a comfortable seating area and wardrobes, including a walk-in wardrobe, a large bathroom with Jacuzzi and inside/outside shower.

Second bedroom: Situated next to the Master bedroom, this has two beds that can also be made into one queen sized bed, with an interlocking door for those people who have children they want to keep an eye on. It also has its own en-suite bathroom and shower.

TV/study: Adjoining the second bedroom and overlooking the pond, the TV room has a desk and seating area for watching satellite TV and DVD videos. This room can also be made into an extra bedroom

Guest bedroom: Tucked away next to the waterfall in a tranquil setting is the guest bedroom, again with queen sized bed, spacious wardrobes and en-suite bathroom and shower.

FACILITIES & CONVENIENCES
Although living in a tropical paradise you won't be completely isolated as Baan Talay has all the conveniences of modern life like email and internet access, satellite TV and telephones.

There is also a full-time villa manageress who can help ensure you have a perfect holiday. An integral part of the fully serviced accommodation, Fiona, supported by three members of staff, takes care of the rooms, gardens and pools. She can also arrange for you to have an in-house chef should you wish, or provide food or wine/drinks and organise tours, activities or taxis. There is also the villa car available for rent. We can even arrange for you to have a massage and beauty treatments in your own sala.

Samui itself is home to excellent medical care, with hospitals, clinics, dentists and pharmacies all around the island. Together with all the various Thai health spas, many of which are within a short distance of Baan Talay, all your health care needs can be satisfied.
