Nestled in olive groves and lush vegetation, this two bedroom Corfu home is surrounded by a splendid yard and and accommodates up to five guests. The interior is decorated with the utmost attention to detail, with natural materials and polished hard wood floors.
Features DescriptionThe main entrance opens to a large open living and dining room. The living area is made up with black and white tones with a splash of red. There are two comfortable sofas facing a fireplace that will keep you warm on cool nights. Just slightly recessed from the living room is a beautiful wood dining table. Prepare meals in the semi-separated kitchen that comes fully equipped with all the appliances of home including an oven, dishwasher and microwave. The ground floor also has a small bathroom with just a toilet and sink. Up the winding wood stairs there is a second, larger bathroom with a bathtub. There is also a small utility closet with a washing machine. Two bedrooms with incredible views of the Ropa Valley through large windows complete the second level of the house. In the first bedroom you will find a double bed and the second bedroom contains a single bed, there is a also a sofa that can be converted to a double bed.
Surrounding DescriptionOn the western coast of Corfu Island, the vacation rental cottage is just 14 km from Corfu Town and a few kilometers from beautiful beaches. Nature lovers and history aficionados alike will love the peaceful retreat the cottage offers. Situated in a central position, it is easy to explore the largely unspoiled interior of Corfu, as well as the lively beach resorts and historic towns sprinkled all over the island. Golf, beaches (including a nudist beach), bird watching, aqualand, monasteries, herbal & medication herbs for collection, horse riding, and tavernas with local home made food!
Nearby Attractions DescriptionThe Museum of Asian Art contains a collection of porcelains, bronzes, screens, sculptures, theatrical masks, armor, books, and prints from all over Asia. The Corfu Trail runs the length of the island and uses age-old tracks, mule paths and dirt roads. It is well marked and can be followed in either direction. The southern end of the trail is gentler, but the scenic highlights and most interesting sites lie in the center and north. The beach of Lake Korisia is very long, running the length of the lake, separated from it by an unmade road and a narrow strip of sand dunes. There are no traditional resort facilities as this area is quiet, natural and unspoilled. Caution is warranted: on very windy days blowing dry sand can be hazardous and rocks at the far end are slippery. Good buys for the shopper include leather goods, ceramics, fur coats and special bargains can be found in jewelry.
