DESCRIPTION
|
The Neiger vacation rental is located between the alpine villages of Goldern and Reuti at an altitude of about 3,600 feet. The house is a classic Bernese alpine chalet, surrounded by a beautiful country garden.
Features DescriptionCompletely remodeled in 1999, the apartment is comfortably furnished, warm and inviting. It is best for four adults or two adults and three children. It features a nicely appointed, spacious living room. A small alcove can serve as a toddler’s bedroom or as storage room for luggage. The master bedroom and the living room provide an unobstructed view of the famous Wetterhorn group of the Bernese Alps and the imposing Eiger North Face. The northeast-facing balcony offers lovely views of the pastoral meadows of the Hasliberg. The apartment is nice and bright, featuring good lighting and skylights in the kitchen and bathroom.
Surrounding DescriptionThe vacation rental is only a three minute flat walk to the bus stop where excellent hourly service connects the village with nearby Brünig rail station, but you will find stunning scenery, excellent hiking, and good restaurants within walking distance or short bus ride. The only bank/ATM on the Hasliberg is found in Wasserwendi, only a few bus minutes away.
Nearby Attractions DescriptionThe Hasliberg is best described as a hiker’s paradise, with the greatest variety and concentration of outstanding walks and hikes in the Heartland. There is a wonderful walk for families with children created around the stories of “Muggestutz,” a Hasliberg dwarf. Each of the villages has at least one or two good restaurants and small grocery stores supplying basic needs, and Hofhluh also features a fine little bakery. The post bus connects the 4 villages with the Brunig train station, which offers hourly service to the famed Bernese Oberland resort of Interlaken and the city of Luzern. An aerial tramway connects Reuti with Meiringen down in the valley every 30 minutes. Cable cars also connect Reuti to higher locations on the Hasliberg (gondolas to Kaserstatt, Bidmi, Magisalp and Planplatten.)
